LYMPH  DRAINAGE  REMEDIAL THERAPY

What is Lymph Drainage Therapy?

Throughout the body are a series of lymph nodes and lymph glands which play a vital role with the Immune System and the removal of Toxins in the body

Lymph is the plasma-like fluid that maintains the body's fluid balance and removes bacteria. The Lymph System runs alongside the Circulatory System but instead of being pumped through the body via the heart, it is moved along via muscle contraction and relaxation.

It is the Lymph System which clears our day to day waste products, un-metabolised fat and heavy metals.

When our lymph glands block, these toxins cannot be released from the body.

Lymphatic Drainage Massages can clear these toxins and help one regain former health and vitality.

It improves the activity of the lymph vessels and in the case of lymphedema re-routes the lymph flow around the blocked areas into more centrally located lymph vessels that drain into the venous system.

A Lymphatic Drainage Massage is also an extremely gentle but highly effective therapy for the many people with general swelling, puffy ankles and fluid retention.

Untreated and over a long period of time, this condition may become chronic with pressure on the heart and kidneys. If you think you may have this condition, ring Kylie for an appointment, have it checked and definitely have it corrected.

Treatments last approximately 1 hour.

A medical history and general health consultation is taken to ensure Manual Lymphatic Drainage is an appropriate treatment for you.

Usually treatment involves concentrated work on the neck and 1 or 2 other body parts (e.g. Abdomen and legs or back and face), depending on your individual needs.

It is best to avoid alcohol and strong coffee after the treatment. Drink plenty of water and relax.

Intensive courses of treatment are most effective, however, your Remedial Therapist will discuss with you the number and frequency depending on your individual situation.
